Dear Members, Supporters and Friends
Twelve year old Mark O'Brien is battling Lyme disease and his parents have exhausted all avenues in Ireland to get their son the best treatment to improve Mark's quality of life. Mark is been treated in Brussels and it is very expensive.
Mark is the son of a former member of the Galway Judo Club, Francis O'Brien and is the nephew of Tommy O'Brien. Both Francis and Tommy are lifelong members of the Galway Judo Club. They are both black belts, Irish Champions, and have won numerous other judo titles in the 1970's and 1980's. Francis represented Ireland at the European Judo Championship in 1984 in Holland.
On behalf of Mark's mum Joan and his dad Francis and indeed his uncle Tommy we are asking the Judo Community to contribute to support Mark's medical treatment in Brussels.
